During his sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute, Dr. Carl DiLella performed more than 500 orthopedic surgeries alongside nationally renowned orthopedic surgeons. His fellowship also provided him with specialty training in advanced shoulder and knee arthroscopy, maximizing his skill in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and labral repair, as well as arthroscopic ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction.
In 2006, Dr. DiLella was accepted into the AO Trauma Fellowship program sponsored by Synthes. The program allows orthopedic surgeons from the United States to study in trauma centers throughout Europe. Dr. DiLella completed his AO Trauma Fellowship at the Spital Davos in Davos, Switzerland, where he was exposed to the most current techniques in orthopedic trauma and fracture care.
