Joseph P. Tansey, M.D.

As a foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Tansey works to address the root cause of the problem and correct it, rather than treat symptoms. This means that whatever treatment he recommends, Dr. Tansey's patients feel well-informed, confident in the care they receive, and that the most conservative measures are first considered as a solution.

Dr. Tansey uses a variety of non-surgical treatment options to manage pain and maintain mobility, including custom orthotics, physical therapy and steroid injections.

If surgery is necessary, Dr. Tansey is an expert in arthroscopic, as well as open bone and tendon procedures. He uses both to recreate the delicate balance of biomechanics that make up the foot and ankle. The result is that foot and ankle pain can be resolved, its cause eliminated or minimized, and mobility optimized so patients can enjoy pain-free, active lifestyles.
